Namolokama O’ Hanalei Canoe Club Annual Meeting Set For January 14, 2016

Looking for a fun, active, team water sport to be a part of?

Located in Hanalei on Kauai’s North Shore, where Weke Rd. meets the Hanalei River, you will find Namolokama O’ Hanalei Canoe Club (NCC). NCC is a Hawaiian outrigger canoe club whose mission and purpose, according to their website, is: “Teaching and instructing children, men, and women the art of traditional and cultural Hawaiian canoe paddling and good sportsmanship through competitive Hawaiian canoe paddling.”

Registration: Namolokama Canoe Club has set its annual meeting for Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 5:30 P.M. in the Tahiti Nui Luau Room. It is an open invitation and they welcome paddlers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced paddlers, to come and register for the 2016 season. Registration will be held for both new and existing members.

Fees: New member fees are $125 for the paddling season, existing members pay $175, and for those that would like an OC1 slot, it’s an additional $100 per space; please note OC1 spaces are limited, so first come, first serve, and are open only to club members.

Competitive practices are held Monday and Wednesday evening for women, Tuesdays and Thursday evenings for men, and recreational paddling on Sunday mornings.

Paddling is a wonderful way to get outside, get some exercise, have fun, and enjoy the water…
