Merriman’s Chef Vince McCarthy and guest Chef Andrew Le, the master behind Oahu’s popular Pig & The Lady, will offer an exclusive evening of food and libation in support of the Hawaiian Islands Land Trust (HILT).  This mouth-watering event will feature an indulgent three course farm-to-table dining experience paired with a beautiful atmosphere and live island music. What’s more, 100% of all ticket sales for the dinner will be donated to HILT in support of land conservation efforts in Hawaii.

A Feast For The Senses!

The night will begin with a curated selection of classic Merriman’s handcrafted pupus (appetizers) created by Chef McCarthy followed by a four-course dinner menu created by Chef Le.

This will be a feast for the senses! A culinary pioneer for nearly three decades, Peter Merriman is one of the founders of the Hawaii Regional Cuisine movement and his restaurants across Hawaii all showcase island grown and harvested foods. If you haven’t dined at Merriman’s before, you should definitely check it out! Merriman’s in Waimea was recently awarded the Gold Award of Excellence in the Hale Aina dining awards for the 21^st year in a row.

Preserving Hawaii’s Natural Resources

I am especially excited about this event because it supports a cause near and dear to Hawaii Life – land conservation. Hawaiian Islands Land Trust (HILT) is a non-profit organization committed to working with private landowners, community groups, community leaders and government partners to protect Hawaii’s precious lands.

Hawaii Life has supported the Hawaiian Islands Land Trust since its inception in 2011. That year the four land trusts in Hawaii merged to become a statewide organization and Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers was one of the Founding Few – a group of individuals and businesses that pledged leadership level commitment to HILT.  In fact, Hawaii Life co-founder Matt Beall is chair of HILT’s board of directors. And Peter Merriman, himself a vocal champion of Hawaii’s farmers, ranchers, and fishermen, is also on the HILT board of directors.
