Maui Weekend Events – September 6

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui presents some great local and community options. The weekend kicks off with Wailuku 1st Friday. Maui Nui Botanical Gardens celebrates the ulu with Breadfruit Day this Saturday. The Humane Society is hosting a low cost microchip and vaccine clinic. Reminder if you are out on the West Side that Mala has a great late night menu. And lastly, we have a few MIL Football games and Division II Volleyball games this weekend on Maui.

La Ulu / Breadfruit Day 2024

Maui Nui Botanical Garden celebrates all things ulu with La Ulu 2024 this Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm. This is a free event! Additional free parking at War Memorial. They are packing so many great things into four hours. Workshops and demonstrations by local farmers and experts, entertainment, some delicious ulu creations for sale by local chefs and more on the agenda.

Wailuku First Friday

Wailuku First Friday returns this weekend. The town party features live music, art exhibits, local food vendors, and activities for all ages. Check out Wailukufirstfriday.com for more.

Low Cost Microchip and Vaccine Clinic

The Maui Humane Society is hosting a Low Cost Microchip and Vaccine Clinic this Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm. Microchips $5.00 for dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Vaccinations being offered are DAPP +/- Lepto for dogs, Bordetella for dogs, FVRCP for cats, and RHDV2 for rabbits at $10.00 each.

MIL Sports

We have three MIL football games this weekend.  Friday’s game is Baldwin at Kamehameha Maui. Saturday night we have two games. Lahainaluna plays at King Kekaulike and Molokai meets Baldwin at War Memorial. Game start is 7:00 pm for all games.

There are five matchups this weekend in Division II Volleyball. Seabury hung on to 2nd place last week. There are two games Friday night. Kulanihakoi will play Hana in Hana at 6 pm. Maui Prep will play Molokai at Molokai at 7 pm.  Saturday morning Hana and Kulanihakoi will rematch at Hana and Maui Prep will rematch Molokai at Molokai. Also on Saturday, Seabury Hall meets Kihei Charter at the South Maui Gym. All Saturday morning game start times is 10 am.

Late Night at Mala

For late night dining and entertainment, Mala Tavern presents Late Night at Mala. Late night at Mala offers a special late-night menu on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 pm – 12:00 am. The menu has a lot of unique and tasty items. The menu also features several delicious craft cocktails worth trying for yourself.
