Maui Weekend Events – May 10

Aloha friends! Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms. Mother’s Day weekend on Maui means the Seabury Craft Hall on Saturday. I’m providing some brunch options below for Sunday. Also taking place this weekend is the Mayjah Rayjah. Two nights of reggae at the MACC. More reggae at South Maui Garden’s 2nd Saturday town party with Maui’s own Kalolu taking the stage from 6 – 8 pm.

Seabury Hall Craft Festival

Mother’s Day on Maui means the Seabury Hall Craft Festival on the day before. The Craft Fair takes place this Saturday all day from 9 am to 3 pm. Highlights include artists and crafters, silent auction, entertainment, great gifts for mom and family fun. Admission is $10 for kids over 12 and adults.

The Mayjah Rayjah Music Festival

The Mayjah Rayjah takes place this weekend over two days. This is Hawaii’s largest reggae music show. Performances on both Friday and Saturday nights. Doors at 5 pm both nights with shows starting at 6 pm. Sublime with Rome are performing Friday night with special guest Likkle Jordie and Ten Feet. SOJA is playing on Saturday night with special guests Kaikena Scanlan. Tickets available for both nights or single nights.

Maui Gardens 2nd Saturday

South Maui Gardens – Hidden Oasis of Kihei hosts a community party every second Saturday of the month. 2nd Saturday features 10+ local favorite food trucks. Also on deck is a night market featuring local artisans and vendors. The music feature this month is Kalolu. This is a free event, but reservations are recommended. Reserve your spot here.

Mother’s Day Brunch

Ikena at the Grand Wailea

The Grand Wailea is serving Mother’s Day Brunch from 11 am – 2 pm. Cold selections include a proper seafood display with gulf shrimp, snow crab legs & claws, and oysters along with all the sauces. Sushi rolls, poke, smoked salmon, salads, cheese and charcuterie also offered. Hot selections include local favorite kimchee fried rice loco moco, Kona lobster mac & cheese, omelet station and dim sum. Carvery features smoked prime rib, pork porchetta, and simple roots Maui citrus brined chicken. Save room for dessert as there are some great options to satisfy your sweet tooth as well. The buffet is priced at $185 for adults and $65 for keiki.

Cane and Canoe at the Montage

Cane and Canoe is offering a Mother’s Day brunch that is not a buffet for those that prefer ordering off the menu. Menu features tenderloin and eggs, braised pork belly, crab cake, some salad options and more. Check out the full menu here.

Ka’ana Kitchen at the Andaz

Ka’ana Kitchen at the Andaz is arguably the best breakfast buffet and Sunday brunch on the island. The mochi waffles are worth the price of admission. Mother’s Day Brunch runs from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Usual stations include pastries, fruit, charcuterie, omelet station, as well as all the usual breakfast fixings. Special for Mother’s Day this Sunday brunch will include snow crab legs, king crab legs, shrimp cocktail, made to order pasta, prime rib, pork belly lechon, pan fried mahi mahi and more. The buffet is priced at $145 for adults and $72.50 for children (6-12) years.  RSVP at OpenTable.
