Maui Weekend Events – June 7

Aloha friends! The Kapalua Wine and Food Festival is the star of this weekend on Maui. We also have the second race of regatta season taking off from Kahului Harbor on Saturday morning. The Voice top 20 contestant Kamalei is performing a Homecoming concert this Friday night at the Grand Wailea. Maui Ocean Center celebrates World Ocean day on Saturday with a special $10 Kama’aina rate.

Saturday’s Race is hosted by Nā Kai ʻEwalu and takes off from Kahului Harbor. This will be an all-day event with races, food and community. Check out Hawaiian Canoe Club for Race Schedule and more.

Kapalua Wine and Food Festival

Foodies and wine enthusiasts rejoice as the Kapalua Wine and Food Festival kicks off Thursday and runs through the weekend. The festival features several wine tastings, dinners or hors d’oeuvres pairings and tastings every night of the event as well as Champagne Brunch on Sunday. Festival passes are sold out. A la carte tickets for individual events are still available.

Kamalei Homecoming Performance

Maui native and The Voice top 20 contestant, Kamalei, will perform a Homecoming concert at Grand Wailea this Friday night. Show time is 6 – 10 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Food and beverage available for purchase.  General admission and VIP labels available.

World Ocean Day at Maui Ocean Center

USA Today Reader’s Choice recently named the Maui Ocean Center top ten aquariums in the country. To celebrate this and honor World Ocean Day, the ocean center is offering kama’aina $10 tickets this Saturday. Arlie Asiu will be performing in the Discovery Plaza and fun activities for the keiki will also be on display in the park.
