Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui has lots of great music options and kicks off with a night of laughs. The Hawaii Comedy – Legends Tour will be at the MACC this Friday night. No race this weekend. Bye before states next weekend. Late Night at Mala features music and dining this Friday and Saturday nights. Additionally, Friday night, Tavana will be performing. Rowdy Love is playing Mulligans on the Blue this Saturday night. Sunday, head to the beautiful Ocean Organic Farm and Distillery for a day of jazz and blues.
More of a community offering, I wanted to share that Pacific Medical Training is offering free courses for emergency responders that are perfect for volunteer fire fighters. These are great skills to have for local volunteers.
Hawaii Comedy – Legends Tour
Start off the weekend with laughs this Friday night. Hawaii’s legends of comedy, Andy Bumatai, Frank De Lima, and Augie T, bring their comedy for a night of laughs. These three performing together is sure to be filled with belly laughs. Content is family friendly. Show starts at 7:00 pm. Doors open at 5:00. Pre-concert food & beverages available beginning at 5:00 pm.
Tavana and Late Night at Mala
For late night dining and entertainment, Mala Tavern presents Late Night at Mala. Late night at Mala offers a special late-night menu on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 pm – 12:00 am. The menu has a lot of unique and tasty items. The menu also features several delicious craft cocktails worth trying for yourself. Coinciding with Late Night at Mala this Friday night is Tavana. One of Maui’s most talented musicians live in concert. Tickets are $25.
Rowdy Love at Mulligan’s
Rowdy Love plays Mulligan’s on the Blue this Saturday night. Show starts at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 5:00 pm. Rowdy Love is a full band playing Americana/Rockabilly. The dance floor will be open. Tickets $10. It is recommended that you also reserve a table if you’d like one.
Day of Jazz and Blues
Ocean Organic Farm and Distillery presents a Day of Jazz and Blues every last Sunday of the month. Multiple jazz musicians play from 3:00 – 7:15 pm. This Sunday’s lineup is a treat for sure. Levi Huffman, guitar and flute master, plays from 3:00 – 4:30 pm. BOOGIE, blues guitar master and Na Hoku nominee from Oahu, plays from 4:45 – 6:00 pm. Tempa & Naor Duo deliver soul, blues, and jazz from 6:15 – 7:15 pm. Tickets $5.
Pacific Medical Training Free Courses
Pacific Medical Training has developed a comprehensive platform, 911coned.com/fire-fighters, offering free courses perfect for volunteer firefighters. These courses cover crucial topics such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), equipping responders with life-saving skills like CPR, defibrillation, airway management, and medication administration.
This is a great program ensuring that those on the front lines of emergency response have access to training to enhance their capabilities in providing immediate and effective care to those affected by disasters like the Maui wildfires.
