Maui Weekend Events – July 12

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui has a couple races, some live music and laughs in store for us. Saturday’s race is hosted by Wailea and takes off from Kahului Harbor. Paddle Imua annual race takes place Sunday morning on Maui’s North Shore. Local favorite comedian Tumua will be performing at the MACC this Friday night. Big Island Native, Waylon Nihipali, will be putting on a special country concert at the Grand Wailea Saturday night. Another option for live music is South Maui Garden’s 2nd Saturday. The feature this weekend is Kalolu.

Kamehameha Regatta

Saturday’s Race is hosted by Wailea and takes off from Kahului Harbor. This will be an all-day event with races, food and community. Check out Hawaiian Canoe Club for Race Schedule and more.

Paddle Imua Race and Ohana Festival

The annual Paddle Imua takes place this Sunday. Race benefits Camp Imua. Registration and check in from 10 am – 12 pm. Races start at Maliko Gulch and end at Kanaha Beach park. It is recommended to be dropped off at Maliko Gulch since parking is limited. Ohana Festival begins at 1-30 at Kanaha Beach Park. There will be music, food vendors, prizes and giveaways.

Tumua

Tumua brings his Warrior Tour to Maui with two shows this Friday at the MACC. If he has not come across your Instagram feed, you have missed some laughs. He’s really funny. First show starts at 7:30 and second at 9:00 pm. Pre-concert food and beverage available for purchase beginning at 5:00 pm.

Waylon Nihipali: Make it Country 2 Summer Performance

Waylon Nihipali will be performing at the Grand Wailea’s Molokini Garden this Saturday night. Cravalho Entertainment and the Grand present a special summer concert featuring Big Island native, Waylon Nihipali. Show starts at 7 pm. Doors open at 6:30.  General admission and VIP tickets are available.

2nd Saturday at South Maui Gardens

South Maui Gardens – Hidden Oasis of Kihei hosts a community party every second Saturday of the month. 2nd Saturday features 10+ local favorite food trucks. Also on deck is a night market featuring local artisans and vendors. The music feature this month is Kalolu. This is a free event, but reservations are recommended. Reserve your spot here.
