Aloha friends! This weekend offers a few fun events. Art Affair 2023 kicks off this weekend and returns in person with a Gala this Saturday followed by an after-party at Casanova Restaurant. Mala Tavern debuts its Tavern Shakedown, a cocktail showcase that will run every 4th Saturday of the month with a semi-final event in November and Final in December. On the live music front, Maui Pops presents its Winter Pops this Sunday afternoon.
Art Affair 2023
Art Affair returns in person in 2023 reimagined. Hui No’eau will be hosting this 2 week fundraiser that supports the continuing of their education programs. The theme this year is A Floral Couture Celebration of the Arts. On-line Silent Auction kicks off this weekend on the 24th and runs though March 10th. The in-person Gala will be held this Saturday from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and features gourmet food by Chef Bev Gannon and live music by Grammy Winner Garrett Probst, Jordan Soon & Liz Morales, and Brown Chicken Brown Cow String Band.

Art Affair After Dark After-Party
If you’re not ready to call it a night after the Art Affair Gala, they have you covered with an after-party at Casanova Restaurant from 10:00 pm – 1:00 am. Enjoy dancing and music at Casanova’s like you did back in the day! You will not want to miss this event.

As a Reminder – Kula I’o

Tavern Shakedown – Cocktail Showcase
This Saturday is the first Shakedown hosted by Mala Tavern of the series. The Shakedown will take place every 4th Saturday of each month featuring a different spirit. Each Mixologist will get a box of mystery ingredients and a spirit to craft a cocktail. This week’s featured mixologists are Darrell from the Montage and Jen from Honu Oceanside. The featured spirit is Mellow Corn Whiskey. Doors will open at 10:00 pm. No cover charge and drink tickets available for purchase.

Maui Pops Orchestra – Winter Pops
This month’s Maui Orchestra Pops features Nashville-based duo Swearingen & Kelli singing ’70s classic folk music. Showtime is Sunday afternoon, 3:00 pm, at the Castle Theater. Travel back in time to the ’70s and enjoy your favorite folk songs by legends like James Taylor, Carole Kink, Jim Croce, Joni Mitchell and more.
