Aloha friends! Happy Valentine’s Day weekend on Maui! We have some great options to look forward to. The feature is Whale Tales at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua with events and activities all weekend. Paula Fuga will take the stage at da Playground this Friday night. The MACC delivers three great shows. Kick off the weekend with laughs as Jeff Arcuri takes the stage this Friday night. Saturday night, reggae favorite UB40 will perform under the stars. And Maui Pops – Winter Pops is on deck for this Sunday. Reminding you on this romantic weekend that Champagne Hale is seating weekends again and Mala is the choice on the West Side for late night dining. And finally, in the local sports world, there is a Maui Paddling Hui race this Saturday.
Whale Tales at the Ritz Kapalua
The annual Whale Tales returns to the Ritz Carlton Kapalua this weekend from February 14th – 17th. This is an opportunity to learn about the latest in whale research and conservation from leading scientists, photographers, filmmakers, and conservationists. All presentations will be live streamed so you can tune in even if you can’t be there in person. Those attending in person can also enjoy hands-on activities, benefit whale watches, film screenings and sponsor receptions. Registration required to attend in person or view live stream.
Paula Fuga
Kick off your weekend and celebrate Valentine’s Day with the soulful sounds of Paula Fuga at Da Playground this Friday night. Renowned for her powerful voice and heartfelt lyrics, Paula Fuga will grace the stage for an unforgettable evening of music. The show starts at 8 pm, and doors open at 6 pm, offering ample time to enjoy pre-show food and beverages. Don’t miss this chance to experience one of Hawaii’s most beloved musicians in an intimate setting.
Jeff Arcuri
Jeff Arcuri brings his Whole World Wide Tour to Maui. He will take the stage at the Castle theater this Friday night. Show start time is 7 pm. Gates at 5 pm. Food and beverage will be available for purchase before the show from 5 – 7 pm. Menu for this event by Fabiani’s and Mulligan’s.
UB40
UB40 will be performing at the MACC this Saturday night. The renowned reggae band, known for hits like “Red Red Wine” and “Kingston Town,” will take the stage at the A&B Amphitheater. Show time is 7 pm. Gates at 5 pm. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from 5 pm and while you listen to the iconic sounds of UB40 under the stars until 10 pm.
Maui Pops Orchestra- Winter Pops
This month’s Maui Orchestra Pops features Nashville vocalists Rachel Potter & Patrick Thomas and guest conductor Adam Jones. Show time is Sunday afternoon, 3:00 pm, at the Castle Theater. The evening will be a tribute to country pop favorites. Pre-concert food and beverage for sale beginning at 1 pm.
Champagne Hale at Cliff House
The Montage at Kapalua Bay is seating the Champagne Hale at Cliff House on weekends again. The pop up at Cliff House with epic views, champagne and pupus is the perfect way to cap off a day at the beach or pool. Seating is 5 – 7 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Late Night at Mala
For late night dining and entertainment, Mala Tavern presents Late Night at Mala. Late night at Mala offers a special late-night menu on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 pm – 12:00 am. The menu has a lot of unique and tasty items and several delicious craft cocktails.
Maui Paddling Hui
The Maui Paddling Hui season is under way. The Relay Race takes place this Saturday. The course will be 20 miles from Haycraft Beach park and finish at Hanakao’o Beach Park. The backup course is Kanaha Triangle to TBD. Check in 7 am. Register here.
