Hawaii Kai Homes at Mariner’s Ridge

Mariner’s Ridge is the oldest and most affordable of the three Hawaii Kai Ridge Communities.

The homes there were built mostly in the 70’s, with more being added in the 80’s and 90’s. Most of the early homes were built by Grant Development, and different models of custom tract homes were available depending on lot orientation. Eventually vacant lots were sold to homeowners who were able to build their own custom homes. The views will vary depending upon which part of the ridge the homes are, but Ocean, Marina, Diamond Head, and Molokai, Lanai, and Maui are some of the views available.  There is a community association with modest monthly dues of $59.00, but there are no amenities.

Because of the older age of some of the homes, a number of them have been remodeled and put on the market recently. Currently there are 3 homes available on the ridge ranging from $860,000 (MLS# 1011119) to  1,175,000 (MLS# 1012068).

There is one home is escrow with an asking price of $1,100,000 (MLS# 1008140) and the highest sale this year was closed on 9/22 for $935,000. Like Hawaii Loa, Mariner’s has hiking trails accessible to the public and the panoramic views from the view areas make the hikes very rewarding.
