Movie lovers rejoice – a theater with oversized leather love seats and gourmet food and drink delivery!

The cinema complex lobby will have high-end furnishings, including sample love seats you can sit in and relax before the show starts. You’ll be able to pass through 25-foot glass doors to a 5,000-square foot outdoor lanai available to everyone, whether or not you are a movie patron. Enjoy a glass of wine on the lanai before a movie or just to meet with friends.

Coming Spring 2017!

It’s Being Called a Luxury Theater For a Reason

In addition to enjoying wine, cocktails, wood-oven pizza, and gourmet snacks on the lanai, you can also have them delivered directly to your loveseat inside the movie theater! Talk about taking the movie experience to the next level! This is the first-ever movie theater of its type on the Big Island and it’s going to be a great place to enjoy with friends and family when it opens in Spring 2017.

Waikoloa Luxury Cinema owner Tony Dalzell and his wife moved to the Big Island earlier this year after visiting annually for decades. A successful businessman who owns watercraft attractions on the mainland, Tony has seen the luxury cinema concept thrive on the mainland and knew that Waikoloa Beach Resort was an ideal location for such a venue – plus, it’s great date night entertainment!

Tony says the cinema complex will also be available for rentals, concerts, and other live community events. You can learn more at the Hawaii Cinemas website. For questions about Waikoloa Beach Resort or nearby real estate opportunities, please contact me.

Dave, this is an interesting concept. Jeremy and I visited a similar complex in Vancouver Washington with our brides a few years ago. You might as well get something for your $10 ticket and $15 box of popcorn. Having wine and fresh pizza sounds good to me ! The resort areas on Maui should be paying attention.

I cannot find any sign that this theatre exists. Has it been held up in construction?

> I stopped by the other day and they are working hard on it every day. I saw a sign that said it should be done Summer 2017 – which is now – but when I peeked inside – it looks like they still have a good amount of work to do. I will ask the property manager and give an update on when they expect completion.
