Flexible Living at 222 Pe´ahi

The 4,100 sq.ft., 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home sits on just over 2 lush acres. You’ll find that the way that the current owner configured the layout really creates a nice separation from one side of the home to the other.

Original side of the home

One side of the home has 2 bedrooms, an office, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and large living room. This side of the home was built in 1997 and features cedar, koa, pine and other warm wood tones throughout. The other side of the home (built in 2012) has a large 40′ x 30′ master bedroom, 24′ x 24′ living room, and dining area, it feels like it’s own separate house!

The Area

222 Pe´ahi is right in the heart of Haiku, on Maui’s North Shore. If the name Pe´ahi sounds familiar, that’s because it’s also the name of the famous big wave surf spot, Pe´ahi/Jaws.

A photo I took at Pe´ahi a few years back

Jaws is actually right down the road from 222 Peahi, you can hear the boulders rolling in the surf when the waves really pick up. Another surf break about 10 minutes away is Ho´okipa Beach Park. Ho´okipa is known for being a world-class windsurfing and surfing spot with multiple breaks along the park. Aside from water sports, I love Haiku for the food! My favorite restaurant is Nuka sushi in Haiku town; it pains me to think about how much money I’ve spent eating there. If you’re looking for great breakfast and coffee, Baked on Maui in the Pauwela Cannery has great coffee and even better baked goods.

Haiku also has the essentials for daily life, there is the Pauwela Store which carries a great variety of organic products. For your weekend around the house jobs, you can stop by Haiku Hardware or the local True Value and find most everything you need. Haiku has done a great job at remaining a small local town that offers everything you need to make life comfortable.

Come Live the Simple Life

I can’t tell you how good it is to come through Paia and see the plants get taller, feel the air get cooler and watch the driving get slower. Haiku is home for me — come see why 222 Pe´ahi should be home for you.
