After all the waiting, searching, longing, and looking, have you finally found the one, your “Dream Home.”  Hi, I’m Fawn Bertram, an agent in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and it’s Week 7 of the 90 Days to Homeowner Challenge. Today, let’s talk about how you can know for sure you’ve found the home of your dreams.

Finding Your Dream Home

I’ve been in real estate for a while, and here are some pretty good indicators:

1. You can’t quit talking about it to your friends and to strangers at the store.
2. You look at other houses but are still thinking about this one.
3. Every other house you compare to this one.
4. You keep looking at the photos.
5. You want to go back inside the house again.
6. If the house is brought up, you feel defensive about it.
7. You’ve started thinking about furniture arrangements.
8. It checks everything off of the “needs” list.
9. You’ve driven by it ten times since your showing that was….ahem, yesterday.

Warm Fuzzies

Of course, there’s more to buying than warm fuzzies and new barstools, but the bottom line? You SHOULD feel excited when you finally find the one. Yes, it’s gotta meet your needs and fit your budget, but the adage usually does hold true — when you know, you just know.
