Aloha friends! With the Super Bowl and football season behind us, I’d like to bring attention to the fact that February is Hawaiian Language Month. For many years, Hawaiians were not allowed to practice and speak their language. It is an honor today to have the opportunity to learn the language and teach our keiki. We have 2 opportunities this weekend to celebrate the Hawaiian language at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center this Saturday. Kama’aina Nights also taking place at the Queen Kaahumanu Center this Friday features Nuff Sedd. These family-friendly events are such a great service to the community!
The Maliko I race by the Maui Paddling Hui takes place this Saturday. Whale Tales also returns to the Ritz Carlton Kapalua this weekend Feb 17 – Feb 20. And lastly, the live music pick for the week is Alex Calma playing at Fleetwood’s on Front Street this Sunday afternoon.
