Hawai‘i Life Charitable Fund Will Match First $40K in Donations to the Hawai‘i Resilience Fund
The Hawai‘i Life Charitable Fund is currently accepting donations for the Hawai‘i Resilience Fund, which was recently established at the Hawai‘i Community Foundation to address the growing impacts of the coronavirus in the Aloha State.
The Hawai‘i Life Charitable Fund will match the first $40,000 in donations.

“The Board of our Charitable Fund has proven that they can enroll a wide variety of constituents to give in times of need. By stepping up and matching funds, they’re creating an opportunity for our clients, prospects, cooperating brokers and even fans of the HGTV television program to get involved. We can do great things if we organize and aggregate our efforts as a community,” said Hawai‘i Life CEO Matt Beall. Under the leadership of Linda Hussey and the HLCF’s statewide Board of Directors, all incoming donations and matching funds will be directed to the Hawai‘i Resilience Fund.
Established with the support of Pierre and Pam Omidyar, the Hawai‘i Resilience Fund will rapidly deploy grants to the public health sector and community-based nonprofits to help support efforts targeted at reducing the spread of the coronavirus. This includes protecting the health care workers on the front lines who are playing a critical role in testing and screening. These efforts also include the expansion of regional test sites and screenings, as well as self-quarantine measures, such as home visits and distribution of food supplies to populations disproportionately impacted by the outbreak.
As fundraising continues, The Hawai‘i Resilience Fund will continue to adapt to the community’s evolving needs, awarding grants on a rolling basis.
