Hawaii Five-O (Po’ipu) Visits Windward Oahu Real Estate

This week’s episode started off in Waikiki as an assassin took out a special agent for a foreign diplomat.

This Waimanalo oceanfront home, (MLS# 1000409), is just minutes from the old Magnum P.I. “Robin Masters Estate,” and also nearby where McGarrett’s two raids took place. That agent was played by Matt Corboy, who grew up surfing and paddling here on Oahu with Hawaii Life’s Sage Spalding and myself. It’s too bad they had to kill him off… As the Five-O team set out on their leads, McGarrett led two raids in a home, and commercial building in Waimanalo.

For those of you that don’t know, Waimanalo starts on the southern most tip of Oahu’s “Windward Coast,” which encompasses everything on the east side of the island exposed to the trade winds. Waimanalo is also where the “Robin Masters” estate was filmed in Magnum P.I. There’s a lovely white sand beach there that stretches forever…A lot of the ariel driving scenes shot during this (and previous) episodes along the ocean are further up this same Windward coastline near Kaaawa, or Hauula.

As the Five-O team picks up the diplomat at the Air Force Base, they are ambushed with an attack, and upon the breakaway McGarrett heads to his home where he feels safe. The McGarrett home also appeared to be along the Windward Coast, most likely north of Kaneohe. There are all sorts of single family home products that start in the $400,000 range, and go up to several million on the ocean.
