Hawaii Five-O took the #1 spot on television this week with 11 million viewers.
This Maunawili home (MLS# 1006017) is near the helicopter scene saving McGarrett’s sister
I’ve got to say, this has been one of the most exciting episodes yet! It’s not too often you see McGarrett get taken down, however, three guys were able to jump him in the beginning, and also kidnapped his sister.
A pursuit followed shortly after as she was able to call him from the trunk of a car. After kicking out the tail light, she noticed they were on some back roads near the Pali. McGarrett was able to get a helicopter and found them in the back roads of Maunawili.
For those of you that don’t know, Maunawili is great community just past the Pali as you enter Kailua from town. There’s typically very low inventory. Two years ago, there were only 4 available, while 4 on the market. Today, there is only 1 active listing and 3 under contract.
1002 Lunaai St. (MLS# 1011443) is the only available listing in Maunawili as of today
Once McGarrett was able to rescue his sister, Mary, the Five-O Team starts to put together the pieces. They discover that the Yakuza (Japanese Mafia) was behind this and they were trying to cover up evidence his father had on his mother’s death. Evidence points to a prominent business man. Unfortunately, he is friends of the Governor’s, and McGarrett has to be tactful about taking him down.
They were able to find some evidence in a dumpster after a raid at Pipeline Cafe in Kakaako. From there, they were able to pull fingerprints that led to the ultimate showdown on a golf course, which was filmed at Koolau (a few minutes from Maunawili).
Just as we thought, McGarrett got his man—it looks like the ultimate villain named Wo Fat is formally introduced. He showed up at an earlier episode visiting a prisoner and appears to be the main driver behind the Yakuza. It will be interesting to see what happens in next week’s episode…
