Enjoy a Stress Relief Game

Aloha Dear Friends,

You can find many online references to stress, anxiety, and the debilitating health consequences of not dealing with them. This quiz is designed to help you identify signs of whether you have a serious problem with how you cope and manage your stress. We have all heard denial is often the first line of defense. Well, I am pretty sure ignorance is right behind it. So, I am glad you ended up here and hope this will help you with your first step in combating your stress-related issues. Use this quiz to acknowledge whether or not you have a potential problem dealing with stress.

Stress Quiz

Okay, let us see if you really are one of those stressed out people. Honestly ask yourself the following questions. Try to go with the first answer that pops into your head. It is usually the correct one.

  • When you encounter a small problem do you feel an immediate spark of anger?
  • Are you having any problems concentrating?
  • Are you experiencing a frequent headache or stiff neck?
  • When you feel stressed do you escape to feel better with junk food, binge drinking or smoking?
  • Are you able to be satisfied by simple life pleasures?
  • Are you, your family, or associates noticing you overreact and get angry easily?
  • Are you consciously or unconsciously grinding your teeth?
  • Are you noticing any repeated instances of negative or self-depreciating talk?
  • Are you worried constantly about anything?
  • Are you arguing a lot?
  • Are you avoiding responsibilities, yourself, or your life in any way?
  • Are you regularly having feelings of being depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed?

If you have answered “Yes” to most of these quiz questions, then you are one of the stressed-out people experiencing an extreme amount of stress in your life.

When you are stressed out there is a direct relationship to your increased level of stress and a decreased capacity to effectively deal with the cause of it. So this means you really need to start managing your stress or you will only continue to complicate your ability to find a lasting solution to your problems. If you can learn to manage your stress, then you can break and prevent this vicious cycle of problems that will cause you more tension and anxiety.

What To Do About Stress

Now if you recognized that you are a stressed out person, what should you do about it? Fortunately, there are a lot of different ways to counteract the everyday stress that will show up in your life. Many natural stress relief techniques are simple, free and — best of all — do not involve escaping with self medication or potentially addictive prescription drugs. These proven techniques include; massage, meditation, breathing exercises, aromatherapy, music, and yoga. One of the keys to stress relief management is to learn not to get stressed to begin with by having an early awareness and personal prevention strategy.

I feel personal mastery over our thoughts and emotions is key to living stress-free life, not allowing the outside world to affect our joy. And of course making a choice to live in a stress-free environment such as Hawaii.
