Castle & Cooke’s Newest Oahu Development Starts Sales

The highly anticipated 400 Keawe project in Kaka’ako is finally here! Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii will be selling approximately half the units via lottery at the end of this month, so check out these details:

Prime Location. 400 Keawe is a part of Kamehameha School’s 9-city block Kaka’ako redevelopment, featuring other condominium/town home projects such as The Collection and Keauhou Lane, as well as 300,000 square feet of commercial business space, including Whole Foods. There will also be reserved housing and rental units within the master plan of a walkable, sustainable, mixed-use, mixed-income community. It is close to Ala Moana Beach and Shopping Center, and a ton of other shops and restaurants.

Unit Size. 400 Keawe will be a low-rise building 6 floors high, consisting of 1-3 bedroom floor plans, with the majority being 2 bedrooms. The living areas range from 583 square feet to over 1,300 sq. ft., and most of the exterior units in the building have lanais between 100-300 square feet, although there is a 2-bedroom floor plan with a 514 sq. foot lanai! The majority of units will include 1 parking, but some 3-bedroom units do offer 2 parking spaces.

Unit Features. The units will feature Bosch stainless steel kitchen appliances and a GE front load washer/dryer. Both the kitchen and bathrooms will have engineered stone quartz countertops and there will be Espresso Oak cabinets in the kitchen. Currently their sales office features a layout of the kitchen, but there are no model units at this point. While there will be no amenities here, the first floor will have commercial businesses and it will be a pet-friendly building.

Lottery Information

The first lottery will be on October 25, 2014, and you will need to turn in your application no later than 3 days prior. This phase will consist of 42 units out of the total 95 units. The second lottery may be about one month later. The building is scheduled to open in late 2015, early 2016.
