6 Best Restaurants on the Big Island Hawaii

Aloha Dear Friends,

If you are a food lover, I would highly recommend exploring these amazing restaurants on Big Island Hawaii.

Many of the restaurants here are what’s called “Farm to Table” bringing you the highest quality and most delicious tasting fruits and vegetables from local farmers on the Island. We have happy cows that graze in beautiful pastures for our Big Island beef and the tranquil waters providing freshly caught fish, my favorite is Ono caught off the coast of Hawaii.

My 6 Favorite & Best Restaurants on the Big Island

1. Beach Tree

Beach Tree, Hualalai is my favorite lunch spot, the fish taco and bonbons for dessert are a must, love the Empress purple gin and tonics, very refreshing and the beach bar has a lively vibe, I meet the most amazing people and enjoy striking up a conversation with travelers and or homeowners.

2. Napua

Napua at the Mauna Lani Beach Club is an ocean view restaurant right around the corner from my home in Puako. I love their Ahupua`a salad and the fresh catch, they have this pink plum sauce that is to die for. The staff is always friendly and Kaulana the bartender makes the best bloody marys and cocktails. The Hawaii-style live music is such a treat and brings a real authentic Hawaiian feeling to your dining experience.

3. The Canoe House

The Canoe House, an oceanfront dining restaurant has a stunning atmosphere and a fun upscale vibe, located at the recently remodeled Auberge Resort at Mauna Lani. Chef Matt Raso gives a profound experience and loves creating lasting memories through his food. With an array of fresh salads to grilled keahole lobster, will have you coming back for more.

You may want to check out the Market at the Auberge, with the most beautiful creative deserts; the cheesecake is decadent.

4. Manta

Manta at the world-famous Mauna Kea Resort with stunning ocean and sunset views. They are open for dinner and breakfast. The perfect spot to enjoy a meal and then take a romantic walk along the beautiful Kauna’oa beach.

5. Merriman’s

Merriman’s in Waimea has a small yet delicious fresh menu, my favorite dessert on the island is their chocolate purse, yummy.

6. Sea Dandelion Cafe

If you are vegetarian and looking for a conscious, heartwarming, super healthy meal, Sea Dandelion Cafe in Honokaa is delicious. I love their healthy sandwiches and kombucha. The perfect place to stop by on your way to Waipio Valley or exploring the Hamakua Coast. Mouthwatering Poi berry smoothie, Beyond burger and so much more, you can truly feel the love in each dish. Bonus: The Best Fruit Stand

I have to mention this amazing fruit stand on the way to Waipio Valley, it’s the last fruit stand when you head to the valley outlook on the left. Cold coconut water served in the nut and they have baby ducks to play with. I fell in love with this spot and enjoy hanging out in a hammock while I soak up the blissful energy around me.
